Rose-Marie Salmon describes her most recent canvases as ‘women’s work become unhinged.’ With her needlepoint creations, Salmon’s bold and striking imagery takes the viewer into a forbidden world of bondage and corsets. However, Salmon’s tongue-in-cheek approach, as well as her sensitivity for line, qualifies her penchant for S&M. She states that ‘My work is a dark and humorous fairytale. I play with forgotten Victorian habits, and strange images of the bizarre.’
