Artist Profile – Jane Barry
Jane Barry is a local printmaker who graduated in printmaking in 1997 from Christchurch Polytechnic. Barry’s focus
in printmaking centred around abstractions of mystical landscapes and figures
which express adventures of the imagination. Printmaking techniques Barry focus on are
dry point, monoprint, and chin colle, which is a process, that applies thin
paper to the printing surface.
Jane Barry has work in the following collections:
- Christchurch City Art Gallery collection, “Twelve laments and one” (limited edition book of prints, involving 12 other printmakers)
