Andrew Grenfell sculptures and installation reference the human body with an interest in its structure and functions, and the way in which its biology and processes, although familiar and comprehensible, are equally uncomfortable and intimidating. Grenfell exhibited in Happy Anniversary, the 15th annual sculpture exhibition from the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts in Poplar Lane in 2007 and his work was singled out by reviewer Andrew Wood in The Listener, as a highlight of a show.
