Dorothy Helyer - 'Now Points'

Front Gallery, 14th October–1st November 2009

“Time is not a line but a series of now points”
Taisen Deshimaru, Zen philosopher, 1914-1982
‘A while ago I stumbled across this quotation and it summed up for me how the pulse of life ebbs and flows alongside the creative spirit. Each of my paintings is my response to my quotidian life. Hence each painting is for me a ‘now’ point - and a record of a particular point in time.’
