Andrew Grenfell

“My body works as it should,
I know my organs are doing their job.
While I stand here, I breathe,
I feel hungry,
I am thinking,
I am moving,
I feel my heart beating and blood flowing through my veins.
My organs are my friends.
They are all named and are well known by others.
Why is it when I show one of my friends outside of my body to peoples,
They are scared and repulsed by his unique ability’s and form.”

Andrew is currently completing Honours in Sculpture at the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts. Previous exhibitions include The Penthouse Suite, The Mill, Addington, Christchurch. 2009 and Platform, SoFA Gallery, 2008.
