Dennis De Visser - 'The Waste Land'

The titles in this body of works refer to T. S. Eliot’s “The Waste Land”; a poem where allusion directs reference beyond the immediately attainable presentation. Rather than illustrations however, these works ought to be viewed as a response to The Waste Land, sustaining ecological and mythological themes. Concomitantly, by searching the relation between object and reference, one may discover what allusions remain in a minimum aesthetic.
