Nicola Gibbons - 'Far Away, So Close'

Far Away, So Close follows an exhibition of work by Nicola Gibbons with the same title held at the Salisbury House Gallery in 2007. Gibbons canvases vary in scale in images that suggest the view through both the microscope and into the cosmos. The allusion to micro and macro and notions of infinity are critical to her work and realised in works that are both diminutive and monumental.
