Aroha Novak - 'V.E.R.A: Revised'

V. E. R. A. (Vehicular Escaping Reality Association) Revised explores the paradox mass media imagery in the 21st century that continuously merges truth and fiction through the reporting of international events and popular entertainment on television, and in magazines and newspaper. Typical of Novak’s work this installation draws attention to the seemingly conflicting associations that informs the presentation and consumption such imagery and information: realities that are transformed into entertainment and fantasy, idealism realised through acts of barbarism, and truth as fiction.
