The Goethe Institute and the Troisdorf Biderbuchmuseum present a touring exhibition of contemporary book illustration from Germany. Thirteen leading German illustrators, including internationally renowned figures such as Klaus Ensikat and Wolf Erbruch are featured alongside a younger generation of emerging artists, working with new media and digital imaging. Contemporary Picture Book Illustration in German provides insights into the artists’ working methods and philosophies about design and illustration with each choosing their five favourite images of their work and providing commentary as to the reasons for selection in the exhibition. The details of floor talks to accompany this exhibition will be announced. Contemporary Picture Book Illustration in German is toured to COCA courtesy of the Goethe Institute.
