COCA is pleased to offer teachers at primary, intermediate and secondary schools a range of activities and lessons using a variety of media that can be adapted to suit the knowledge, experience and skills of your students. Each lesson plan consists of an outline & supporting visual aids and references to relevant artist models from the COCA collection & further afield. It is recommended to download all components of the lesson plan to gain a full understanding of the potential for each lesson; content can be modified or adapted to suit the specific needs of teachers

traditions of landscape painting and the work of one of NZ’s leading
contemporary landscape artists, Simon Edwards.

mixed media methods, related to an issue based theme. It focuses upon
how contemporary artist Dick Frizzell, Asher Newbury and Maurice Askew
have used symbols to communicate their ideas about our world.
