All education programmes and school visits to the gallery are booked in advance. BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL and places for popular activities may be limited.
Most of our workshops cost $2 and vary in duration from 90mins to 150mins.
To book a class for a visit or workshop activity please return the booking form. The Education Officer will contact you to discuss the programme and to confirm your visit.
Next door to COCA is the underground carpark of the Christchurch Art Gallery. The cost is $1.10 per half hour and there is a height restriction of 2.25 metres. (No Buses).
The nearby Arts Centre is an ideal venue for lunch in either wet or fine weather. There is also a suitable courtyard at the Christchurch Art Gallery in fine weather. Students may eat morning tea in the classroom at COCA.
While it is not permitted to photograph artworks in the gallery it is a good idea to document student workshop activities at the gallery.
